Elizabeth never thought she'd have to explain lawyers. Of all the things they'd left behind, the convoluted legal system was one of the things she missed least. But Zelenka's comment and Teyla's curiosity had spawned a growing ‘debate’. Teyla appeared to understand until they expanded into corrupt defense attorneys and corporate trial lawyers. It didn't help that Rodney was (unexpectedly) vehemently anti-lawyer, while John had been pre-law at some point in his meandering college adventures. Add one marine court martial survivor, two divorced biologists, and a 'hey, my sister’s a lawyer you creeps' lieutenant… and things went downhill from there.
