SUMMARY: People change their minds... (Pepper's POV) Set in the soon-to-be-shared AU. I had homework issue this weekend and didn't get everything I wanted to finished. *sighs*
I never asked for this, this twilight immortality without sun or breath. All the new things I can do balanced by all the old things I can't. I’m a watered-down vampire, a tiger playing at housecat because I can’t let go of what I used to be. Not that I would have said no. You don’t just say no when someone offers you eternity... But Rachel does, in that strange deep sincerity that I don’t-- can’t understand. She has time still, decades even, and someday she could change her mind.
I have forever now, and I don't mind the wait.
