sunnyd_survivor 023. Swallowing "No Stress Challenge"
SYNOPSIS: Xander was the only scoobie who never left. The community this challenge came from is for fics set after the Buffy finale. This one is from an open-AU that I'm building and I'd love any feedback folks can give! ^_^
They'd fought the government for months to be allowed back. Well not back, per se. Xander looked across the barriers and warning tape and into the gaping hole that had eaten their past. The pit had swallowed everything, homes, schools, churches, leaving behind memories of place they could never return. But the fight was over; the area had finally been deemed safe by a pantheon of confused geologists, seismologists, and a handful of other governmental bureaucrats. Now it was time to start over. Time to rebuild the good memories, and leave the bad to the pit.
