It was announced today that City of Heroes and the entire Paragon Studios team is ceasing to exist come November 30th.

That game was my first real foray into MMORPGs and although I left it for WoW, it still stands out as a fond gaming memory.

I had (almost literally) one of everything... fire tanks, corruptors, healers, scrappers, and my favorite tiny bat-winged Mastermind. I played with SuperGroups, battled up to somewhere in the 40s and had a full stable of alts.

I loved playing in the costume designer, creating names and back-stories-- the RP side of the MMORPG was alive and kicking and I loved it.

And now it's gone. *sighs*

I hope I never, ever, have to live through this for WoW... (CoH was posting new content as of Aug 21st, so this closure came out of nowhere for the fans.)

Why?: Because every hero lineup needs the gruff old immortal (with a big fuzzy heart) ((sorta)) prowling the streets of the city playing vigilante... at least my lineups do, so there.

Vic was born on the rough streets of-- well, okay, he was born in suburbia (much against his will) and has no tale of troubled childhoods to share with the masses. He's just a normal guy with superpowers who's out to do his bit.

... Okay, that's a lie, he's really a centuries old immortal wandering the streets in search of a final rest. But really, -suburbia-. Heh.

Full Bio: -pending- Slavic/Germanic origin, maybe a few centuries old, accidental immortal due to fiddling with science stuffs, mostly just looking for a way to die at this point, very tech friendly even though he's got the whole ice/snow powers thing going for him. Very debt friendly, so probably not good for team RP. ^_~
